Research topics
1) Multiscale mechanics of composite materials
We develop advanced multiscale simulation frameworks for various polymer composites(e.g. nanocomposites, fiber-reinforced polymers) taking into account their multi-physics properties. Recently, we have focused on the data-driven mechanics models that combine experiments and simulations, utilizing various machine learning algorithms.
2) ML based materials exploration and development
We explore and develop advanced materials based on the high-throughput molecular dynamics simulations for various applications such as composite materials and semiconductor manufacturing process.
3) Advanced molecular dynamics
To overcome limitations of conventional molecular dynamics, we are developing advanced molecular dynamics algorithms and applying them to various topics such as composite mechanics, nanoprocessing simulations and plasma facing materials.
