• (Sep 2025) Our lab has been awarded the NRF Young Investigator Research Grant (신진연구자지원사업 - 씨앗연구) for the project “A Multiscale Simulation Design Platform for CFRP Reflecting Carbon Fiber Microstructure and Matrix Plastic Deformation Characteristics Based on Manufacturing Processes. (제조공정에 따른 탄소섬유 미시구조 및 기지재 소성 변형 특성을 반영한 CFRP의 멀티스케일 시뮬레이션 설계 플랫폼 개발)”

• (Aug 2025) Our lab has been selected to participate in the KIAT (Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology) Industrial Innovation Infrastructure Project, “AI-Based Establishment of Infrastructure to circular products and servitization in the lighting industry” (AI 기반 조명산업의 자원순환 및 서비스화 실증 기반구축) (2025–2029).

• (Sep 2025) Hoang Ha Cao joined our group. 

• (Sep 2025) Ninh Hoang Quang (Integrated M.S.–Ph.D. Program) has published a paper titled “Characterization of CFRP Interface Properties with Varying Fiber Surface Roughness Using AFM Measurements and Finite Element Modeling” in Composites Part B: Engineering, the top-ranked journal in the field of composites. Congratulations! 

• (Sep 2025) Jinwoo Park (M.S. Program) has been awarded the Graduate Research Fellowship (석사연구지원금장려사업), which provides one year of research support starting in September 2025. 

• (May 2025) Our lab has been selected to participate in the KIAT (Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology) Industrial Innovation Infrastructure Project, “Development of a Data Infrastructure for the Depolymerization of Waste Plastics” (폐플라스틱 소재 해중합 데이터 구축) (2025–2029). 

• (May 2025) Ninh Hoang Quang (Integrated M.S.–Ph.D. Program) has published a paper titled “Effect of Plasma Modification on the Anisotropic Surface Structure of PAN-based Graphitic Carbon Fiber” in Carbon (Elsevier), one of the leading journals in materials science and carbon research. This work was carried out in collaboration with KIST. Congratulations! 

• (Feb 2025) Jinyoung Kim has received a master's degree. Congratulations! 

• (Jan 2025) Jinyoung Kim (M.S. Program) has published a paper titled “Molecular Origin of Asymmetric Yield Surface of Crosslinked Epoxy Polymers” in Polymer Testing (Ranked No.1 in the field of Materials Science, Characterization & Testing). Congratulations! 

• (Nov 2024) Jinyoung and Sarang received the presentation awards — Best Presentation Paper Award and Excellent Presentation Paper Award — at the KSCM Conference. Congratulations! 

• (Oct 2024) Prof. Hyungbum Park has published a paper titled “Amplifying Colossal Thermal Expansion of a Martensitic Molecular Crystal through Interlayer Shear-induced Side-chain Liberation” in Angewandte Chemie – International Edition (Wiley), one of the world’s most prestigious journals in chemistry. This work was conducted in collaboration with KIST. Congratulations! 

• (Sep 2024) Van Phuc Thao Nguyen and Vo Doan Hung joined our group. 

• (April 2024) Yoonsub received the Docho Outstanding Presentation Award at the KSCM Conference. Congratulations!! 

• (Nov 2023) Prof. Park delivered a speech in the Promising Scientist Lecture (유망과학기술자 세션), CAE Division, at the KSME Annual Conference 2023.
